We initially approached Jon with a unique offer—become a bit of a “guinea pig” for our 1-on-1 coaching program. Our aim was to test new ideas, gather feedback, and help him see real results. Jon already had solid knowledge and a passion for precision rifle shooting (PRS), so he was the perfect fit.

After a brief consultation, we developed a tailored, week-by-week training plan to add structure to Jon’s goals. His target: “I aim to consistently shoot groups under 1 inch, and within six weeks, I want to be consistently shooting under 2MOA in standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone positions.”

We introduced Jon to a variety of drills focused on stability across all shooting positions, wind reading, and data gathering. Jon embraced the evidence-based, data-driven approach and significantly increased his dry fire practice, which boosted his confidence and motivation.

Recently, Jon participated in a team PRS competition, where his team placed second. He’s now grouping sub-MOA in most positions and has gained invaluable resources and drills to continue his progression. While Jon has yet to compete in an individual .22 match, he’s excited to put his training to the test.

“Practicing the 66-inch drill definitely helped me in the competition. It allowed me to approach each barricade with a clear plan for which position to use in different scenarios,” Jon shared.
